I currently write for Examiner.com about the health food scene in Columbus, Ohio. I am responsible for conducting my own research, interviewing local business owners and experts, and writing and editing articles. In the past I have worked on a project with Columbia University proofreading and creating indices for an anthology of Elizabethan literature. I have also interned with Persea Books, where I was responsible for reading poetry manuscripts, writing reader's reports and rejection letters, copywriting, and proofreading. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri where I took a honors capstone which required me to conduct extensive research and write two lengthy papers. Each of these experiences required from me meticulous attention to detail and the ability to set my own goals and work on my own. My successes prove my ability to work hard and meet deadlines. I am willing to tackle any assignment and eagerly learn new skills.
